Seven Gables Park, 1750 South Naperville Road, Wheaton, IL 60189
With Independence Day each year, Americans celebrate fifty-six courageous patriots, who declared, “That these united Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States.” With the passage of almost two and a half centuries, the ranks of American Heroes have swelled with many who through their lives and deeds have built and preserved our communities and nation. They may be those fallen in war, members of the armed forces, veterans, first responders, or many others by their actions have become heroes in our lives. They have all add to the meaning of our national flag, and it is fitting that at July Fourth we remember and honor them with a formation of the Stars & Stripes.
None understand this better than those who have defended our nation on foreign battlefields, and member of the Warrenville VFW Post 8081 will post 2020 U.S. flags at Seven Gables Park for five days leading up to and including the Fourth of July.
Flags may be sponsored to honor individual heroes, and these flags will be retained by sponsors at the end of the event to be presented to the honored hero, flown in the community or kept as a memento of the display.
The Wheaton Field of Honor® display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.
Please visit and support the Wheaton Field of Honor® flag display and bring everyone you know. This awe-inspiring display must be seen in person to be fully appreciated.
