The Waterloo Field of Honor® Flag Display is one of the times when organizations, location and cause align perfectly. Colonial Flag Foundation, Waterloo’s Exchange Club and Cedar Valley Honor Flight join together to honor those who died in defense of our nation. The Veterans Memorial Hall provides the setting, which has honored Cedar Valley veterans beginning with those who served in the U.S. Civil War and continuing to the present.
Hundreds of United States flags will fly in to those who made the ultimate sacrifice leaving family, friends and our nation to mourn.
Flags in the display may be dedicated to honor individuals, who will be Identified by special tags, these flags may be sponsored for $40, and the flag with its tag will be received by sponsors as a memento of the event. Proceeds will raise funds to support The Sullivan Hartogh Davis Cedar Valley Honor Flight and charitable programs of Exchange Club of Waterloo.
The Waterloo Field of Honor ® display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.
This is an experience hard to describe, but not to be forgotten. We invite all to visit the Waterloo Field of Honor® display and walk with us among the posted flags. The display is open to all without charge. Don’t miss it!
