Come celebrate Urbana’s 5th Annual Field of Honor® display of United States Flags brings volunteers, residents and visitors together as hundreds of flags are posted at Mercy Hospital. This inspiring and memorable display panorama of red, white and blue is hard to describe, but once experienced it is not to be forgotten. Additionally, funds will be raised to help the Urbana Police Division “Cops and Bobbers” Program and the Urbana Youth Fire Association.
The Urbana Field of Honor® display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.

Services, has announced the business will host the third annual First Responders Appreciation Honor Field starting May 22. This year the field will again honor healthcare professionals and the field will be set up on the lawn at Mercy Hospital.
“We wanted to take this opportunity to let our local healthcare professionals know we appreciate them and all they continue to do for our community,” Lewis said. “This is just a small way for us to show our appreciation and let them know we think they are heroes.”

First Responders Appreciation Day will be observed in Urbana on May 24 at the Grimes Field Airport. The celebration will recognize the men and women who protect and care for area residents in times of emergency.
“Champaign County firefighters, police and emergency medical service providers are always there in our time of need and it is fitting to recognize their important contribution to the community ” said Jeff Frantz, committee chairman.
