Event Details
This 24th of May has been designated as First Responders Appreciation Day in Urbana to recognize the men and women who protect and care for area residents in times of emergency. Firefighters, Police and Emergency Medical Service providers have earned our gratitude by their selfless service and sacrifice, and United States flags flown in their honor offers a fitting tribute.
This inspiring and memorable display will draw Champaign County residents together. The panorama of red, white and blue is hard to describe, but once experienced it is not to be forgotten. Additionally, funds will be raised to purchase carbon fiber thermal protection hoods for Urbana’s firefighters.
The Urbans Field of Honor® display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.
We invite all to join with us as we remember and honor our national heroes. The Field of Honor® can be visited on May 24th.
