We are excited to bring Somerset KY its second annual Field of Honor®, but we are adding a Healing Field® for Cancer as well for one great giant Healing Field of Honor®. The Field of Honor® made such a significant impact on our community that in 2022 we decided we would do that for our Military Heroes every year. Last year we were able to give $7000.00 to SPEDA for the new Somerset Veterans Memorial Park.

This year, with your help, the money raised by the Field of Honor® will go to Tunnel to Towers Catastrophic Injury Program and precisely two veterans in the state of KY waiting on their Mortgage Free Smart Homes.  The Healing Field® is dedicated to those who have heard that dreadful diagnosis and either lost their battle, won their struggle, or currently fighting to kick Cancer’s butt. The money raised from the Healing Field® will be donated to the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge in Lexington, KY, where patients can stay free while receiving their treatments nearby.

Creating an awe-inspiring panorama, United States flags will fly solemnly at Oak Hill Baptist Church from May 20 through June 3, 2023. This stirring display of 500 or more flags will bring the community together in a patriotic tribute to honor our military heroes and our community who have been touched in some way by Cancer.

Each U.S. flag represents an individual and tells a story.

This unique event is the perfect opportunity to remember and honor those who mean so much. The Stars & Stripes reminds us of who we are as a people. Americans meet the challenges of history and overcome hardships becoming stronger. That is just who we are. The United States flag represents our solidarity in creating a brighter tomorrow and uniting us all. This moving display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships, and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or donating. This is an experience hard to describe but always to be remembered. We invite all to visit the 2023 Somerset Healing Field of Honor® patriotic display, walk with us among the posted flags and read their stories.
