June 10th – 17th 2023
Faith Lutheran Church, 1326 E. Cedar St., Seguin, TX 78155
Celebrating over Flag Day in style, Seguin makes good on the boast that the city is “Real America” and “Real Texas.”
800 United States flags flying atop 7½ foot white flagstaffs on the grassy field at 1326 East Cedar Street create the magnificent panorama of Seguin’s 4th Annual Field of Honor® display. The flags honor those who by their lives have honored the flag, and this tribute gives increased meaning to America’s great Flag Day.
Military, Veterans, and The Fallen, providers who all have earned our thanks by their selfless service & sacrifice, and United States flags flown in their honor offers a fitting tribute. There is no better time for this tribute then during the days surrounding the Flag Day.
This inspiring and memorable display will draw Guadalupe County residents together. The vista of red, white, and blue is hard to describe, but once you experience this it will not to be forgotten.
The Seguin Field of Honor® display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by dedicating a flag or making a donation.
We invite all to join with us as we remember and honor our nation’s heroes. The Field of Honor® can be visited from June 10th to June 17th 2023. This is an event not to be missed.

Residents to honor veterans, responders with field of flags
The Seguin Gazette
A sea of red, white and blue is set to be the sight on the corner of East Cedar Street and North Highway 123 Bypass.
More than 1,000 American flags honoring veterans and first responders are expected to go up for the Seguin Field of Honor at a field adjacent to the Faith Lutheran Church from June 29 to July 6.
“It all started here in Nixon — the town that I’m the chief of police — last year when they had a Field of Honor,” Seguin Field of Honor Committee Project co-chair Chris Aviles said. “So, we figured if Nixon can do it and they are a small town of a few hundred veterans. Well, Seguin having 22,000 or more veterans then why not Seguin. Seguin is the perfect patriotic town.”

Several rows of more than 1,000 American flags stood tall and flapped in the wind as a light breeze swept through the field on the corner of North State Highway 123 and Cedar Street Saturday morning.
While the flags stood tall, families and friends walked through the endless rows of red, white and blue in search of the ones honoring the service men and women in their lives at Seguin’s first Field of Honor.
Each of the flags remembers and honors all veterans, active duty military and first responders.
