All flags that were not picked up on Monday, May 30 at the Hoosic Valley football field may get them at
57 Pleasant Ave in Schaghticoke, NY according to the following schedule:
Monday, June 6: noon to 8pm
Tuesday, June 7: noon to 8pm
Saturday, June 11: 10am to 5pm

Creating an awe-inspiring panorama, United States flags will fly in a solemn formation at Hoosic Valley Central School during May of 2022. This stirring display of 1000 flags will bring the community together in a patriotic tribute to honor our heroes. Each U.S. flag represents an individual and tells a story. Flags may be sponsored to honor individuals currently serving in our military, fallen servicemen & women and all veterans. This unique event is the perfect opportunity for all of us to remember and honor our many heroes.
The Stars & Stripes reminds us of who we are as a people. Americans meet the challenges of history and overcome hardships becoming stronger. That is just who we are. The United States flag represents our solidarity in creating a brighter tomorrow and uniting us all.
This moving display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.
This is an experience hard to describe, but never to be forgotten. We invite all to visit the Schaghticoke Field of Honor® patriotic display and walk with us among the posted flags. Additionally, the display will raise funds for Patriot Flight, Inc.

‘Field of Honor’ at Schaghticoke school to honor veterans for Memorial Day

It’s a Capital Region first this year in the Rensselaer County community of Schaghticoke. It’s called a “Field of Honor” and it will cover the Hoosic Valley football field in more than 1,000 American flags. Each 3×5 ft. flag will represent a current or veteran military member, and each will have information about their service.
A patriotic group has put out a call for individuals and business sponsors to purchase hundreds of American flags to fill a Field of Honor before Memorial Day weekend for the benefit of Patriot Honor Flight.
