During the second week in November, 250 U.S. flags will stand posted as the Safford Lions Club hosts the city’s inaugural Healing Field® display. The solemn formation of the Stars & Stripes honors area men and women serving in the military, veterans and all who have become heroes through following the motto: We serve. Each flag represents a person who has earned our honor and appreciation. The panorama of red, white and blue reminds all that freedom has a cost that is paid by those who wear the uniform of our nation. Flags may be sponsored to honor individuals.
The Safford Field of Honor® display is a gift to the Graham County community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.
This is an experience hard to describe, but never to be forgotten. We invite all to visit the Safford Field of Honor® display and walk with us among the posted flags. The display is open to all without charge. Don’t miss it!
