One of the fasted growing communities in New Mexico, Rio Rancho will, experience its first Field of Honor® flag display for area residents. During the four days leading up to and including Veterans Day, 250 U.S. flags will stand posted as the Rio Rancho Rotary Club hosts the city’s inaugural Field of Honor® display. The beautiful formation of the Stars & Stripes honors area men and women serving in the military, veterans and all who have become heroes through following the motto: Service Above Self. Each flag represents a person and tells the story of a person who has earned our honor and appreciation. The panorama of red, white and blue reminds all that freedom has a cost that is paid by those who wear the uniform of our nation. Flags may be sponsored to honor individuals.
The Rio Rancho Field of Honor® display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.
This is an experience hard to describe, but never to be forgotten. We invite all to visit the Rio Rancho Field of Honor® display and walk with us among the posted flags. The display is open to all without charge. Don’t miss it!
