Pelona Vista Park provides an outstanding setting for an equally spectacular panorama created as 1,000 American flags fly for Memorial Day in ordered rows atop 7½ foot white flagstaffs. Approaching the magnificent formation of the Stars & Stripes, cars traveling along the Antelope Valley Freeway, Rayburn Road and Tierra Subida Avenue will have equally amazing views of the City of Palmdale’s Field of Honor® event.
Flags honor all those who by their dedicated service have become our heroes. Each flag represents an individual and tells a story. Flags may be purchased to honor those who serve or have served in the military, fallen servicemen & women, and first responders. Memorial Day affords us the perfect occasion to pay tribute to our heroes by displaying a flag in their honor.
The Palmdale Field of Honor® display is a gift to the community made possible through the City of Palmdale and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by purchasing a flag.
