November 10th – 12th, 2023
610 East Bay Street
Jacksonville, FL 32202
Creating an awe-inspiring panorama, United States flags will fly in a solemn formation at USS Orleck during November of 2023. This stirring display of 325 flags will bring the community together in a patriotic tribute to honor our heroes. Each U.S. flag represents an individual and tells a story. Flags may be sponsored to honor fallen servicemen and women, Vietnam Veterans, and Korean War Veterans. This unique event is the perfect opportunity for all of us to remember and honor our many heroes. “Honoring those that died from the area while the USS Orleck was in commission” is the perfect theme for this year’s event.
The Stars & Stripes reminds us of who we are as a people. Americans meet the challenges of history and overcome hardships becoming stronger. That is just who we are. The United States flag represents our solidarity in creating a brighter tomorrow and uniting us all.
This moving display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.
This is an experience hard to describe, but never to be forgotten. We invite all to visit the Jacksonville Field of Honor® patriotic display and walk with us among the posted flags. Additionally, the display will raise funds for the Exchange Club Family Center and JAX Naval Museum.
The display is open to all without charge. Don’t miss it!

Program Description
This is a proud day to be supporting the Jacksonville Healing Field where members of the community are honoring the deceased heroes in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts with an American Flag. Many of you purchased one of the 360 flags bringing the community together in a patriotic tribute to honor our veterans. These are service members that listed NE Florida as their home.
We appreciate the special occasion that this is, that you and all of us are sharing now. Take a moment to walk through the field and think about those that lost their lives so we can be standing here today. Those that fought with valor so we can have the freedoms we share and the ideals can live on that represent what makes this country so great. We hope as you look at this from the downtown area, across the river, during the parade, the run, or on your way to the Jaguars game – we all remember those that lost their lives so we could be here today.
“In honor and remembrance of…”
