The grassy field adjacent to the General William C. Lee Airborne Museum will be transformed into a field of 400 U.S. flags posted in perfect rows and columns in tribute to those currently serving in the military, veterans who have served, and the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation’s security and freedom. First responders and personal heroes may also be recognized  The City of Dunn, having been twice designed an All-American City, is the perfect location to fly this panorama of the Stars and Stripes at the museum which honors Major General William C. Lee, who was born in Dunn one hundred and twenty years ago. Sponsored flags may be flown in tribute to those who have given service to our community and nation, and funds raised will benefit the William C. Lee Memorial Commission , the Yellow Ribbon Fund and Wounded Warriors.

Greater Raleigh–Durham–Cary Area residents are invited to visit the Field of Honor® display and walk amid the flags. Those who have visited a Field of Honor® display know to expect an inspiring and memorable panorama of red, white and blue. Those who are first time visitors will find that the amazing display must be experienced to be fully appreciated.
