Americans have honored the Stars & Stripes over the long history of the United States, and the display of over 100 U.S. flags on the lawns of Rochester’s Mercy Center presents a fitting tribute to individuals who through their deeds and service have honored the flag.

Individuals recognized over the 9 years by Rochester’s Field of Honor® annual events have served in wars stretching back to the American Revolution and including the Civil War, both World Wars, Korea, Vietnam and the war against terror.  In addition, flags will be posted to remember and honor 9/11, active-duty military, fallen servicemen and women, first responders, all veterans, COVID-19 victims, and COVID-19 medical teams.  The flying flags not only forms a stunning vista of red, white & blue but impart a sense of healing.

New flags may be sponsored for $40 and donated flags may be sponsored for $25 to honor our heroes. The displayed flags will be retained by the sponsor at the close of the event.  Proceeds will benefit Mercy Bridges, a ministry which provides tutors who teach basic literacy skills to adults for whom English is a second language.
