Pelona Vista Park provides an outstanding setting for an equally spectacular panorama created as 2,020 American flags fly for Veterans Day in ordered rows atop 7½ foot white flagstaffs. Approaching the magnificent formation of the Stars & Stripes, cars traveling along the Antelope Valley Freeway, Rayburn Road and Tierra Subida Avenue will have equally amazing views of the City of Palmdale’s inaugural Healing & Honor Field® event.

Flags honor all those who by their dedicated service have become our heroes. Each flag represents an individual and tells a story. Flags may be purchased to honor those who serve or have served in the military, law enforcement, fire/EMT, or medical personnel.  Veterans Day affords us the perfect occasion to pay tribute to our heroes by displaying a flag in their honor. Proceeds will benefit local veteran charities:  Vets 4 Veterans, Coffee 4 Vets, Point Man AV, American Legion 348 and VFW 3000.

The Palmdale Healing & Honor Field® display is a gift to the community made possible through sponsorship by the Palmdale Auto Mall Association, the City of Palmdale and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by purchasing a flag.

This massive vista of red, white & blue is an experience hard to describe, but not to be forgotten. The display is open to all without charge. Don’t miss it!

Flag Pickup is scheduled for:

• At the conclusion of tomorrows Veterans Day ceremony, 11/11, from Noon – 5PM
• On site at the Palmdale Healing and Honor Field 2020
• Pelona Vista Park – 37720 Tierra Subida Ave.,  Palmdale

Additional Flag Pickup information:

• Tuesday 11/17, Wednesday 11/18, and Thursday 11/19
• 9AM – 5PM
• Purchaser should come to the box office windows prepared with their flag purchase information (which we will have available as well)
• The person picking the flag up must sign that they have taken their flag.
