November 7 – 15, 2020
San Gabriel Park, 445 East Morrow Street, Georgetown, TX 78626
Americans often disclaim the title of hero by saying, “I was just doing my duty” or “I was just doing what needed to be done.” Still, our National Flag—The Stars and Stripes—reflects the heroism of countless men and women, who through their selfless service and sacrifice have earned the title of hero. What better way could there be to remember and honor America’s heroes than by displaying a U.S. flag in tribute for each individual who has become our hero.
This is the focus of the Georgetown Field of Honor® display of over a thousand United States Flags at San Gabriel Park. Each flag purchased and dedicated will honor a veteran, a currently serving member of the armed forces or a first responder. Hosting this dramatic event for the 4th straight year, the Georgetown Rotary also recognizes Heroes include K9 heroes that serve in the military, in law enforcement and in rescue/recovery efforts. Further, they provide comfort and emotional support for those in need following the stress and adversity encountered in their service.
The Georgetown Field of Honor® is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.
Please visit the Field of Honor® flag display with friends and family to support the Rotary Club of Georgetown in presenting an inspiring and memorable event. As in past years, the event will draw area residents together to honor those who serve to protect and serve us.
