The Tewksbury/Wilmington Elk provide a hub of community activities revealed in their motto, “Where the Fun Never Stops.”  Still, they show a serious side in their service and support of local charities.

This September the Elk will post 200 United States Flags at the 9/11 Memorial next to the Tewksbury Library as a fitting tribute to the victims of the 2001 terrorist attacks and the heroes willingly encountered danger and death in the effort to save others.  Members of our armed forces, veterans and all those who by service and sacrifice have become our heroes. Flags flown at the event my be dedicated to honor individuals, and the flags will be retained by sponsors at the end of the Field of Honor® display.

The Tewksbury Field of Honor ® display is a gift to the community made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag or making a donation.

This is an experience hard to describe, but not to be forgotten. We invite all to visit the Wilmington Field of Honor® display and walk with us among the posted flags. The display is open to all without charge. Don’t miss it!
